Today let’s look at a nice, and quick, choke from the scarf hold position or kesa gatami. What makes this technique work so well is the reliably little amount of movement required to pull it off. I particularly nice setup for this choke is to wait until your opponent tries to work their arm free. As they pull their arm out they are focusing almost entirely on the escape allowing you to slip your arm across and apply the choke.
